Welcome to the website of New Zealand Red Cross. Both in New Zealand and across the globe, Red Cross provides assistance to millions of vulnerable people every year. Support is provided to those affected by conflict, disaster and emergency and to better prepare communities to cope with potential crises.  Thank you for visiting us.

Samoa Earthquake and Tsunami Appeal: Thank you for your generous support. Please note that the appeal has now closed. Funds for the appeal can still be deposited but must be in before 31 December.

Donations can be made by:
• Making a secure online donation by clicking here
• Sending cheques (made payable to New Zealand Red Cross), to the Samoan Earthquake and Tsunami Appeal, Red Cross House, PO Box 12140, Thorndon, Wellington, 6144
• Making a donation at any New Zealand Red Cross office throughout the country

Thanks to the overwhelming generous support from individuals, groups, the business community and government, almost $3 million (as at 30 November) has been raised. New Zealand Red Cross guarantees that 100 percent of all donations will go directly to help the people of Samoa. Funds have already made a difference by supporting relief, rehabilitation and recovery activities for individuals and communities affected by the disaster. New Zealand Red Cross is only able to accept financial donations.
