We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Employer Liason to join our team in Palmerston North.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Employer Liaison in our Pathways to Employment programme working with former refugees in Manawatu  region. The main purpose of this role is to coordinate and support employment orientation workshops for former refugees and their communities. Additionally, community outreach projects shared with the team.

The role also includes intensive, individualised work with both refugee background clients and potential employers, supporting clients to gain employment.

  • Competence in intercultural communication and experience working with people from diverse and marginalised backgrounds
  • Understanding of the refugee journey and common issues faced during the resettlement process
  • A commitment to the Fundamental principles of the International Red Cross Movement

Qualifications required:

  • Tertiary education in relevant field – desirable
  • Membership of a professional organisation in a relevant field, such as CDANZ – desirable
