Humanitarian Services Administrator - Welllington

We are looking for an administrator who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable migrants and has the administrative skills to add value to the team to ensure efficient running of all of the programmes.

As part of the world's largest humanitarian organisation, New Zealand Red Cross works to improve the lives of vulnerable people by mobilising the power of humanity and enhancing community resilience.

The National Migration team coordinates a range of humanitarian activities aimed at providing assistance and protection to people in most need. This includes providing support to 1,000 UN Quota Refugees during their first year in the community and assisting a further 800 former refugees who are seeking work and training to rebuild their lives in New Zealand. This team also delivers the Restoring Family Links programme, a global Red Cross programme which provides a range of protection actions including tracing and connecting family members who have become separated through war or conflict.

We are looking for an administrator who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable migrants and has the administrative skills to add value to the team to ensure efficient running of all of the programmes.

This position is responsible for providing general administration, support and office management to ensure the smooth and timely administration of all Migration Programmes, including direct support to the Central Leadership Team.

Utilising your ability to communicate clearly and resolve customer needs you will be naturally sensitive towards, and have the ability to consult with, people from different lifestyles and social, cultural and economic backgrounds. Your attention to detail, drive to get things right and flexibility with your working hours when needed will see you successfully managing multiple priorities and maintaining deadlines.

You will be a competent user of Microsoft Office applications and experience in CRM or XRM preferable. A current motor vehicle driver's licence is essential.
