Senior Community Fundraising Coordinator - Christchurch

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Community Fundraising Coordinator based in Christchurch.

In this role, some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivery of community fundraising events and campaigns in the Canterbury region.
  • Building relationships with community groups, schools, local businesses, event participants, etc.
  • Supporting staff and members in the coordination of Community Fundraising activities across the Southern region (South Island).
  • Promoting the work of the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement.

  • Experience in fundraising and promoting non-profits
  • Knowledge of volunteer-based community fundraising activities and techniques
  • Experience in project and event management
  • Experience of managing multiple tasks to deadlines and prioritising own workload
  • Demonstrable understanding of event marketing
  • Track record in achieving targets
  • Experience of using databases and/or online fundraising platforms
  • Excellent written and oral communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work independently as part of a remote team
  • The flexibility to work some weekends/evenings when required
  • The ability the travel within the Mid-North region when required
  • Attention to detail
