Auckland Pop-Up Book Fair

New Zealand Red Cross and students from Rangitoto College are proud to announce their second Auckland Pop-Up Book Fair!

Due to the current lockdown in Auckland, we are re-scheduling our fair dates to Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 November.

We're back... in just a few weeks!

The event is an exciting collaboration with students from the Red Cross Club at Rangitoto College, whose core values of respect, integrity, courage and excellence, are naturally aligned with the fundamental principles of the Red Cross. These students are inspiring examples of young humanitarians in action.

Our first Auckland Pop-Up Book Fair in 2019 was a great success, raising funds for our programmes both here in Aotearoa and overseas.

Book Fairs have long been a part of the fabric of New Zealand Red Cross’ fundraising activities.

For decades, volunteers around the country have collected and sorted through pre-loved books to host Book Fairs, which became renowned in their communities. They are a fantastic way to keep books out of landfill, and lower our carbon footprints, all while collecting donations to help vulnerable people affected by conflict or disaster.

Re-using and re-loving goods, especially books, is part of all of our commitment to becoming a more sustainable Aotearoa New Zealand.

We would like to thank the students and staff of Rangitoto College for their incredible support.

If you have any books that you would like to donate, your local Red Cross Retail shop would be delighted to receive them!
