Meals on Wheels lead volunteer
We're looking for reliable and energetic lead volunteers to help schedule volunteer drivers for Meals on Wheels deliveries across New Zealand.
Our Meals on Wheels service supports elderly, ill and disabled people living at home who would otherwise struggle to provide healthy meals for themselves.
The Meals on Wheels volunteers leads support Meals on Wheels Services in their area by helping schedule . Lead tasks and responsibilities may vary from area to area.
New Zealand Red Cross requires its people – employees, members and those that volunteer their time – to be fully vaccinated. If you are interested in volunteering for New Zealand Red Cross you will need to provide your ‘My vaccine Pass’ when required. This is important as we place our people at the heart of everything we do, ensuring we take steps to prioritise health, safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Key duties may vary from area to area, but typically involve:
- Ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of Meals on Wheels to clients
- Coordinating and scheduling Meals on Wheels volunteers
- Onboarding and training new volunteers
- Liaising with the local Service Centre
Commitment
- Annually renewable
Schedule
- 1 hour per week
Requirements
- Ability to use your own vehicle
- Ability to pass an NZ Police Vetting check
- Valid full driver's license
- Valid MyVaccine pass
