New Zealand Red Cross Earthquake Recovery 2010-2017

On 4 September 2010 and 22 February 2011 Christchurch and the surrounding areas experienced devastating earthquakes. New Zealand Red Cross' Canterbury Earthquake Appeal raised more than NZD$131 million from Kiwis, other Red Cross societies and corporate donations. The funds have reached Cantabrians through grants, community partnerships, outreach and wellbeing projects.

Promoting resilience

We want to help Cantabrians become more socially connected, and improve their ability to prepare for, and cope with, future events.
