We have an exciting opportunity for a casual International Delegate - (Climate Change) to join our team in Wellington. 

International Delegate-Climate Change

Are you interested in being an International Delegate for NZ Red Cross?  We have a wonderful opportunity for someone who is skilled in Climate Change and willing to undertake a 1 year contract based in Suva, Fiji.   

Do you have the following:

  • University degree in a relevant field
  • Experience in climate science, climate services, forecast-based financing and early warning early action
  • Experience implementing participatory workshops, training and capacity building initiatives
  • Practical knowledge in integrating climate change adaptation and mitigation Disaster Management programming
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, including experience working in cross-cultural contexts and across multi-organisational teams
  • Strong communication skills, including written
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly across the Pacific including remote locations, sometimes for extended periods
