Changing for Good - Realising our Strategy 2030

New Zealand Red Cross is an iconic part of life in New Zealand.  We’re here in emergencies, we help former refugees to settle here, we deliver Meals on Wheels and other services and we work with the wider Red Cross Red Crescent Movement to respond to humanitarian disasters and to support vulnerable communities in the Pacific and further afield.

We’re increasing our focus on what we are great at, and on our unique contribution to community and those who are most vulnerable. That means working out where we need to do more, and where we need to do less.

Our Strategy 2030 is guiding us towards this positive future. Over the coming months you may see us working differently in your community and providing new opportunities for people to volunteer their time to support us and their communities.

What won’t change is our mission - to improve the lives of vulnerable people through mobilising the power of humanity and enhancing community resilience. We’ll continue to do this through our fundamental principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality.

We are committed to being even more effective in a constantly changing environment. We’re excited about the future and how we can have an even stronger impact in our communities.

We look forward to working with you along the way. As we start to make some of these changes you can keep up to date on
