Financial donations and sponsorship

The best way to deliver impact through our work is by donating funds to help those in need. We can tag donations for specific projects or programmes, or it can go to where the need is greatest. Donations may be eligible for tax deductions.

We also offer sponsorship opportunities to allow organisations to get behind local and national Red Cross projects, programmes and events.

Products and services giving

Products and services can make a huge and direct impact, as well as providing great promotion opportunities. We run several programmes that need the donations of goods and services to deliver impact in the community.

Products and services giving could be:

Customer giving

A customer fundraiser - which donates a margin of sales or allows people to donate when they shop - gives consumers an extra incentive to spend with your organisation. It’s an excellent way to promote your positive impact while boosting sales and customer engagement.

Supporter examples

Corporate giving looks different for everyone.

Here's how some of our supporters have made an impact.

More than 6,000 Kiwi households across Aotearoa hard hit by COVID-19 received a Red Cross Parcel, thanks to all the businesses that made this possible - AMI, Air New Zealand, CBRE, L’Oréal, Reckitt Benckiser, Countdown, Hurricanes, Trade Me and Bunnings.

When COVID-19 reached our shores, Airpoints™ members banded together to help Kiwis in need and inspired Air New Zealand’s Carepoints™ program.

In more than a decade of partnership, NZ Post has helped our disaster work here and overseas, supported our work with former refugees and a variety of our community programmes, raised funds for appeals, and much more.

Support from Farmers Trading Company after the mosque attacks meant we could provide long-term and direct support to refugee-background young people

New Zealand Post gifted old postie bikes, new frames, new helmets, locks, pumps and maintenance tools to provide refurbished new bicycles to former refugee communities.

AA and New Zealand Red Cross teamed up to create the Essential Vehicle First Aid Kit.

For every test drive in December, MG Motor New Zealand donated $10 to New Zealand Red Cross.
