New Zealand Red Cross International Delegates are always welcome in the Pacific Islands because people know they bring life-saving aid and specialist knowledge to the world’s most vulnerable.

Fiona, one of our New Zealand Red Cross International Delegates, met Margaret on the island of Ambrym after she had her thatched roof home destroyed by Cyclone Lola. She showed Fiona the new home she was slowly building covered by a Red Cross tarpaulin. She was very proud to point out how it kept her home and belongings dry while it was being built and will eventually be replaced with corrugated iron.
