Meals on Wheels
Thousands of New Zealanders face their hour of need every single day, when age, illness or disability means they struggle to cook for themselves. As a Humanitarian Partner, you make sure they not only receive nutritious meal deliveries but also vital human connection that supports their wellbeing and independence.
Ready when emergencies strike
When people face their hour of need after disasters and emergencies, trained Red Cross teams are ready to respond because Humanitarian Partners have helped us prepare. Together we provide vital emergency supplies, reassurance and comfort when it matters most.
Strengthening communities for every emergency
Together, we ensure that when disasters strike our Pacific neighbours, life-sustaining humanitarian support can be delivered within their communities in their hour of need. Humanitarian Partners help them to stay prepared – supporting the training of local emergency teams in first aid, disaster preparedness, and communications so communities are ready when disaster strikes.
Sending Kiwi expertise to communities in crisis
When communities devastated by conflict or disaster face their hour of need, New Zealand's humanitarian expertise stands ready to deploy. Humanitarian Partners ensure we can train and send skilled Kiwi delegates – experts in security, construction, sanitation, shelter, public health and more – to provide their knowledge and skills to support humanitarian relief efforts around the world.

For former refugees, the hour of need comes with fear and uncertainty – stepping into a new country, a new culture, and a new life following displacement.
