Melanie C’s iconic outfits donated to Uber x Red Cross Clothing Drive set to go on sale for Red Cross

Two iconic outfits worn by international pop star Melanie C are going on sale to raise funds for New Zealand Red Cross.  

The outfits will first tour Red Cross Shops in Hamilton and Auckland, where fans can see them up close and enter a buyers' draw for the opportunity to purchase them.

The singer donated the outfits as part of the fourth annual Uber x Red Cross Clothing Drive, which took place on 17 October, encouraging New Zealanders to give quality pre-loved clothing a second life. 

The first is a custom black and white tracksuit with matching bra, worn by Melanie C on stage at Kendal Calling music festival in July 2023. The second is a black crystal-detail dress, worn while DJing at Bang & Olufsen's 100th anniversary celebration at the Royal Danish Opera House in Copenhagen in November 2025. 

Sophie Jones, In-Store Experience and Product Sourcing Lead at New Zealand Red Cross, says the tour is an opportunity for people to see the outfits up close. 

“It's not every day you get the chance to see something from an international pop star's wardrobe, let alone have the opportunity to own it. 

“We're so grateful to Melanie C for donating these pieces. Rather than having them go straight into one shop, we thought we'd give people around the country a chance to see them first. 

“And of course, it's a great reminder that donating good-quality clothing to Red Cross Shops helps raise vital funds for our humanitarian work here in Aotearoa and around the world.” 

Where to see the outfits 

The outfits will be on display at the following Red Cross Shops: 

• Hamilton: Saturday 7 to Sunday 8 November 2026 
  83A Tristram Street, Hamilton CBD 
• Auckland: Tuesday 10 to Wednesday 11 November 2026 
  Shop 19A, 140 Don McKinnon Drive, Albany Mega Centre 

How to buy 

Fans can register to enter the buyers' draw for the opportunity to purchase one of Melanie C's donated outfits by scanning the QR code at participating Red Cross Shops or registering online here.

The dress is priced at $295, while the three-piece tracksuit is priced at $875. 

Registrations close at 7pm on Wednesday 11 November.  

Successful buyers will be selected at random and will have 48 hours to complete their purchase. 

Items can be collected from the Albany Red Cross Shop or delivered for free within New Zealand.
