Role description

New Zealand Red Cross is holding several sorting events in October and November to help our teams process donated goods from the Uber x Red Cross Clothing Drive, getting them ready for sale at one of our Red Cross locations. As a volunteer, you will be sorting and preparing donated clothing for sale, as part of a team. Funds raised in our shops go to supporting communities in Aotearoa New Zealand and overseas, where the need is greatest. You'll also be helping give pre-loved clothing a new lease of life, extending the life of quality items and supporting sustainable shopping.

Donations collected will help Red Cross Shops raise funds for our humanitarian work, supporting people facing vulnerability, disaster and crisis in Aotearoa New Zealand and across the world. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of people who need it most.

Last year’s drive collected more than 64,000 kg of donated clothing and we are encouraging everyone to get on board and make this year the biggest, most impactful drive yet!
