Southland Cheese Roll Sunday 20 September 2020

Sign up to the first annual Southland Cheese Roll to support people in need.

Are you ready for the ultimate cheesy competition?

Participants must build a contraption (or cheesy vehicle) that can roll a 1kg block of cheese down the hill. The fastest block of cheese to be rolled down the hill in each category wins! (Rules and regulations apply.)

When? Sunday 20 September 2020, from 11am-2pm.

Where? Lee Street, Bluff.

Choose Your Category:

  • Babybels - 16 and under $10
  • Mature - 16 and over $20
  • Platters - teams $100

We’ll race the above three categories, then have The Big Cheese Race (with all three finalists).

The day will then finish with the hilarious No Rolls Barred Finale (everyone goes at once).

Any damaged cheese will be donated to local pigs, so no food waste!

Use your school science project ideas to make your cheesy vehicle, grab some folding chairs and come and join us.

Download the rules and regulations below to find out more!

And there's more...

We’ll have a sausage sizzle, if you’d like to buy some lunch. And cheese rolls of course!

Plus our Disaster Welfare and Support Team will be on site with all their cool gear to explain the great work that they do.
